Apprenticeship Programme: Children's Care, Learning and Development Level 2
Hours of Work: 16 hours per week
Days and Times of Work: Monday to Friday (flexible working between the hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm)
Salary: National Minimum Wage for Apprentices (£3.90 per hour)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Company Overview: Babes in the Wood is a sessional care nursery and holiday club that is open between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm. The company offers a wrap-around service with local schools and the 30 hour free childcare placements. They are an educational provider who are in the process of making changes to go in line with the new curriculum that is coming into place shortly.
Key Duties: This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children between the ages of 2 to 12 years! The role will involve: -
- Assisting the room leader with everyday routine, i.e. supporting circle time, activities, changing children, preparing snacks, etc.;
- Setting up activities that are engaging to the children;
- Playing with the children;
- Dealing with parents in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
Essential/Desirable Requirements: Applicants must: -
- Have a passion to work with children;
- Be able to work well as part of a team;
- Be able to use initiative.
