The AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting will be available for first teaching September 2022.
The purpose of the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting is to offer grounding in the core accounting knowledge and skills needed to progress either to employment or to further study. This qualification is suitable for young people who have just left school as well as for adults returning to work after a break or for anyone wishing to change career.
This qualification comprises four units that cover a range of foundation accounting and finance skills, and has a total of 255 guided learning hours
Blended delivery of self-directed study via the Mindful education system and shorter focused online lessons with your tutor via Microsoft Teams.
This video will provide you with an idea of what the system will look like; ‘in-class’ lessons are currently delivered via Microsoft teams.
There is a scheduled exam date for each unit.
Exams take place at ACT Cardiff
This qualification comprises four mandatory units (255 guided learning hours in total):
• Introduction to Bookkeeping
• Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
• Principles of Costing
• The Business Environment.
Three units are assessed individually in end-of-unit assessments. This qualification also includes a synoptic assessment that draws on and assesses knowledge and understanding from across a number of units
The recommended time to complete this programme is 10 months.
