You will be required to undertake a WEST Initial Assessment to determine your current level prior to enrolment. To be eligible for the level 2 training you will need to achieve a level 1 at initial assessment stage.

You will be required to undertake a WEST Initial Assessment to determine your current level prior to enrolment. To be eligible for the level 3 training you will need to achieve a level 2 at initial assessment stage.
These focus on the practical application of these skills, especially learners’ capacity to transfer their knowledge and understanding between contexts and purposes.
To achieve the Essential Communication Skills qualification(s), learners are required to demonstrate their skills through both:
Level 2
Week 1 Advanced S/P/A/G
Week 2 Reading, highlighting, annotating and summarising
Week 3 Writing, text types, purpose, audience & language & planning
Week 4 Writing, paragraphing & proof reading
Week 5 Speaking and Listening/ Planning and taking part in discussions and presentations
Week 6 Preparing for assessments
Week 7 Assessment week -
Controlled Task ( 5 hours)
Confirmatory Test (45 minutes)
