Online and In Class Apprenticeships

Our Accountancy Apprenticeships will provide you with practical, internationally recognised finance and accountancy skills, and will allow you to understand the needs of your organisation, customers and the sector within which it operates. You will gain a recognised qualification and develop your professional skills.

The Need for Flexibility

We have worked in partnership with Mindful Education to create a suite of flexible Apprenticeships that combine online learning with face-to-face classroom sessions.

Our Online and In Class Apprenticeships have been designed with both learners and employers in mind – requiring less time in a classroom than traditional delivery models and minimising disruption in the workplace. This flexible approach means that Apprentices can choose how, when and where they want to study.

Online and In Class – the best of both worlds

Online video lectures are available on demand and can be viewed from a phone, tablet or computer. Lessons are accompanied by animations and motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Online study reduces the amount of time that apprentices spend in the classroom, be it face to face or remote delivery. The instructional element of each online lesson will take approximately 90 minutes. This is followed by varying activities, designed to test ability and apply new learning. At least 5 hours per week is required to benefit fully from this virtual learning tool.

In Class, Apprentices benefit from regular classes. Experienced tutors will discuss and reinforce key learning points from online study and are on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Time out of the workplace is reduced thanks to the online learning materials.

The AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy will equip apprentices with the specialist knowledge and skills required to maximise opportunities in their current or new employment role.

The qualification is aimed at financial and accounting team members looking to develop their skills in financial accounting. The Level 3 Diploma is a progression route for students who have achieved the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. It’s also suitable for those who have already started their journey studying a related subject and are looking to develop their skills in accounting.

The Level 3 course covers a range of key areas, including:

  • Business Awareness
  • Financial Accounting – Preparing Financial Accounts
  • Management Accounting techniques
  • Tax Processes for Business

When you agree to undertake an Apprenticeship, you may be required to complete Essential Skills qualifications, depending on your previous qualifications, the Apprenticeship level you are completing and your own particular needs.

This flexible course is delivered in partnership with Mindful Education and combines on-line learning with weekly classroom lessons. Lessons can be attended in person at our Cardiff Office or via Microsoft Teams.

Units are delivered one at a time and then assessed using computer-based assessments set by AAT. These are conducted at our Cardiff Office and all dates will be provided at the start of the qualification.

The timings of the course are 9.30am to 1pm or 5.30pm to 7.30pm

Learners are supported and encouraged throughout their qualification to reach their full potential in their chosen industry.

The skills and knowledge you will gain throughout this qualification will qualify you for roles including:

  • Accounts Payable Clerk
  • Credit Controller
  • Finance Assistant
  • Credit Controller
  • Senior Bookkeeper
