This qualification is aimed at learners who are interested in or just starting a role in teaching/training within adult or alternative education or learning support roles in a wide range of organisations. No prior classroom experience is required, and a micro teach experience will be included.
This course includes four workshops and a micro teach session at our Cardiff Skills Centre. Assessment will be partially completed through a workbook during workshops and you will need to prepare for your micro teach session in your own time.
The courses provides an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and give constructive feedback.
To achieve the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) you will need to achieve the following units
Unit 1: Understanding Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Learning
Unit 4: Understanding and Using Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches in Education and Training
Unit 5: Understanding Assessment in Education and Training
