This programme is aimed at candidates who work in a hairdressing role in a professional salon. It enables these individuals to develop their skills and gain a qualification in the workplace
An allocated assessor will visit the learner at the workplace on a once a month basis throughout the qualification in order to gather evidence of competence through planned observations. There are mandatory and optional units which you will be registered for and assessed on through observation and inferred knowledge. At least two of the optional units will be required to complete the qualification.
Optional units are discussed during the first visit from your assessor and agreed with your line manager. These optional units also run in line with the changes in industry and set to meet the needs of the salon and learner.
We offer a paper based and E Portfolio to the learner which is established during an induction. Our awarding body is City & Guilds and our new curriculum is designed in line with the new City and Guilds standards and full access to MHD Training Academy learning resource.
