The results are in for our annual Learner Voice Survey and we are proud to say that 96% of our learners rate us good/excellent!
At ACT, learner satisfaction is vitally important, and as Wales’ leading training provider, we are keen to ensure our standards are consistent across the board.
Each year we undertake a survey of our learners from the network to monitor satisfaction across a variety of areas. Learners are asked questions regarding the support they receive, the information given to them, the facilities and equipment available to them as well as their overall rating of their provider.
ACT prides itself on its award-winning staff, strong support system and top training facilities, and this was clearly reflected in the survey results.
This year we had a staggering 2388 responses with a response rate of 84% of those selected to complete the survey, our highest number of responses yet!
With 20 partner organisations, 12 different Traineeship routes for 16-18 year-olds, and Apprenticeships and Higher Apprenticeships in over 30 different sectors, we have a diverse and varied range of learners of which we work hard to keep engaged and deliver high-quality and relevant training to.
This year, the ACT network raised the bar across a variety of areas:
An incredible 92% rated us good/excellent in providing specific support to develop their learners’ literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills - this is a massive 9% increase from the 2018 survey.
Ninety percent of our learners rated the technology used to support their learning as good/excellent. This has increased over the past few years and we are glad to hear the new resources like OneFile are an effective tool that supports your learning!
With our drive to improve Care, Support and Guidance in learning, we scored an amazing 92% on how well we inform learners about accessing support for personal issues which might affect their learning. This has increased by 12% since last year and we are so pleased to hear our learners are feeling the most supported they have ever been.
We strive to ensure all learners are satisfied and have the opportunity to voice any opinions with regards to their training and contribute ideas and feedback for improvements and developments. This was also evident in our survey results with 96% of learners rating us as good/excellent at asking for your views. This has consistently improved year upon year.

Across the board, results look better than ever, and work will now continue to further increase results. We strive to ensure our learners rate the service they receive as excellent. A follow up is now taking place to look at any areas that learners feel could be improved or developed and will become our main priority.
