ACT is all about people!
Our people, your people and all of the individuals out there who are looking to improve themselves, their lives and their career prospects.
At ACT, we’re all extremely passionate about making a positive difference to people’s lives by providing excellent learning programmes and opportunities – and all 385 of us come in to work each day to do just that.
We provide a long list of training programmes and qualifications that really help people reach their full potential. From Traineeships, Apprenticeship and Higher Apprenticeships across 30 different sectors, to employability training and short commercial courses, we have something for everyone and, this is the good bit, most of our training is fully-funded.
To make a positive difference to people’s lives by providing excellent learning programmes.
To be the recognised as one of the leading training providers in the UK.
Our core values
Even though we deliver huge quantities of training, we don’t skimp when it comes to the quality. We are very proud of our work and strive to deliver an excellent service every time. We are pleased to tell you that we have a 85% success rate (which means a very high proportion of our learners successfully complete their training) and 96% think we're great.
We love what we do, and, not meaning to blow our own trumpet, we are good at it. Some of our recent wins and commendations include: Responsible Large Business of the Year Award in the Business in the Community Cymru Responsible Business Awards 2018, Sunday Times Best Companies in the UK 2018 (59th), ranked 7th Best Gold Employer (with 250-4999 employees) at the annual Investors in People Awards in 2017, Provider Award for Partnership Working in the Apprenticeship Awards Cymru 2015, Sunday Times Best Companies in the UK 2015, 78th in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 2015, Wales and West Utilities Inspiring Young Talent Award in the Business in the Community Responsible Business Awards 2014, Provide Award for Social Responsiveness in the Apprenticeship Awards Cymru 2014, and we have maintained our Investors in People Gold Award since 2012.
But enough about us, let’s talk about you. If you are
We are here for you! Our team of highly-skilled and dedicated tutors and assessors and opportunities advisors are ready to meet you and find you a programme that is suited to you and your needs.
In October 2016 we became a partner of Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC). We are really excited to join the CAVC Group as together we are resilient and can retain the capacity to continue to invest, develop provision, deliver more and increase opportunities to best support individuals, communities and employers across the region. Since 2016 we have been working together sharing data, collaboratively planning for future needs and looking for skills gaps that need to be addressed. We continue to operate under the same brand, same identity and management structure but we are governed by a larger Board of Directors who have a clear vision to collectively secure the future of our sector.
