Food Safety Catering Level 2

Learners gaining this qualification will know that food safety is the responsibility of everyone involved in the storage, preparation, cooking service and handling of food. Its topics are regarded by the Foods Standards Agency as being important to maintaining good practice in the production of safe food.

This course is for you, if you work in a Restaurant, Takeaway, Pub, Cafe, Guest House, Hotel, School, Works Canteen, Nursery, Care Organisation or anywhere you are preparing and/or handling food. No previous food safety training is required to take this course.

Recommended for all food handlers in retail, catering, and care  environments. Topics covered include:

  • Food poisoning
  • Food borne diseases
  • Food contamination
  • Food safety law,
  • Food management
  • Safe storage
  • Temperature control
  • Personal hygiene and,
  • Cleaning.

*Maximum 8 learners per group
