Hospitality and catering is one of the largest industries in the country, employing over two million people. With a great range of occupations to select from you could find yourself training to be a top chef, hotel manager, contract caterer or supplier - the range of opportunities is fantastic.

Apprenticeships in Hospitality and Catering are one of the most popular programmes, attracting thousands of candidates per year. Depending on your strengths and interests, you could either be working behind the scenes in a kitchen, pouring drinks for the Friday night crowds or providing hospitality for high profile guests.

ACT have an in house training kitchen that is used to teach basic culinary skills before trainees go out on work placements.

(Please note: This sector often requires night and weekend work, with some unsociable hours and lots of time spent on your feet - however, it's a young and vibrant sector, with most employees under the age of 25!)

I found the organisation very efficient. Workshops and individual observation/supervisions happened reliably and were useful. I was supported very well by my tutor.
