Child care is ever changing but very fulfilling. There are a number of sectors in childcare such as private nursery, nursery schools, primary school, play group and childminding all of which could be a possible career choice for you. Work in this sector covers safeguarding. Health and safety, nutrition, communication, legislation, child development and children’s activities. While on placement your responsibilities may vary but could include supporting activities and meal times, encouraging positive behaviour and communication with adults, parents and children. This course will provide the opportunity for learners to engage in learning and develop a range of skills, techniques and personal skills needed for employment.
