What can I train in & what course is for me?

Traineeship programme is aimed at youth learners who are not employed and who require occupational skills learning. ACT delivers training programmes to those unemployed youths who are undecided on their occupational goals. These programmes operate within our dedicated training centres and incorporate training covering IT skills, life skills and basic skills.

Steps to Employment This is an adult programme designed to increase your chances of finding regular and long term employment. Along with supported job searching activities and work placements, you can improve your interview techniques, CV writing skills and your employability skills. We can also help you to brush up on a variety of other skills you may need in your everyday life while gaining qualifications.

Foundation Apprenticeship is an employment based learning programme at Level 2. It follows a framework developed by the industry Sector Skills Council. It consists of a nationally recognised qualification (QCF), Key Skills and a vocationally related certificate. Each of the qualification elements are required for the completion of the framework.

Commercial Training - ACT offers a wide range of training direct to companies and individuals.

Flexible Learning is aimed at training and accrediting employees to meet their employers' needs.

14 - 16 Provision - ACT offers a wide range of learning opportunities for young people in years 10 & 11. Young people aged 14 - 16 can be referred by teachers to attend a training site where they can work towards a range of high quality vocational qualifications. They are able to follow the "Vocational Access Certificate" and an QCF Level 1 qualification.
