ACT has received a highly commended award at this year’s Business in the Community Responsible Business Awards.
The Wales Responsible Business Awards recognise the very best of responsible business and show how companies across Wales are making a positive difference to the challenges shared by business and society.
The awards were celebrated at the Wales Responsible Business Awards Gala Dinner, held at Cardiff City Stadium last night, and hosted by BBC Cymru Wales presenter Lucy Owen.
The judges recognised that ACT is a highly social responsive organisation that has a positive social, economic and environmental impact across Wales.
Andrew Cooksley, Managing Director at ACT, said: “We don’t want anyone who works for us to be unhappy. Even if just 10 of our 300 staff were unhappy that would be a disaster. It would have such a negative impact across the delivery of all of our training programmes.
I believe that the positive ethos of the business is what sets it apart from other training providers, and this is reflected in the fact ACT has been awarded the largest single Welsh Government training contract.”
Rosie Sweetman, Director at Business in the Community (BITC) Cymru, who will soon be succeeded by Matt Appleby, said: “In shifting economic and political times, it is becoming ever more apparent that the future wellbeing of Welsh business and our communities are inextricably linked.
“That is why BITC Cymru are delighted to have recognised all of the 2016 winners for their commitment to making a positive difference to the challenges we all share as a nation.
